ATTEN:This blog has been combined with the 1st killacab blog & moved to www.saveacab.blogspot.com

I started A Cab Taxi in the year 2000 as a joke and I have keep it open all these years despite the many difficulties that I have endured at the hands of some very cruel people. Since the first part of 2007 my phones have been so tampered with by law enforcement that it truly is a wonder I'm still in business and the strangest thing that has ever happened in my life was a deal some people tried to make with me not to call the Federal Communications Commission about my phone calls being intentionally blocked. If you have read my first blog www.killacab.blogspot.com then you have a pretty good idea of what a huge mess all this has been and I decided to start from the beginning with this blog to try to fill in some of the many gaps that I left out the first round.

I got the idea to start this company at my fifteenth class reunion and at the time I had been working in the office at Homeland grocery store here in Elk City, Oklahoma for almost five years. I was extremely ready for a job change after that many years at Homeland but I wasn't exactly sure what kind of a job I wanted. At my Merritt Class of 1985 get together several classmates and I played all eighteen holes of golf at our local golf course and most of us consumed a lot of beer while we played the course. By the time we all had finished the last hole I was well above the legal limit to drive and so were many of my other class mates. We stood out in the parking lot of the clubhouse talking for a while and very few of us were brave enough to risk driving home. I made the comment that I should start a taxi service in this town since we didn't have one and several of my classmates started laughing. I told them that I thought a taxi company could do well here and I was really serious about quitting my job at Homeland.

The next day I started thinking of a name for the company and by dark I was printing up cards with the name A Cab Taxi. I thought the name A Cab Taxi sounded kind of catchy and also I think it popped in my head because we didn't have a cab service around here. Several people had opened taxi companies in this town over the years but nobody stayed in business very long and I was determined to make it work. I remember that my wife and I were scared of going into such a venture because we were so unsure about things. Neither one of us knew much about running our own business and I remember telling her that if it fails were going to be up a creek without a paddle.

I already had a mini van and I also decided to use the phone number 580-821-2945 that I had on my cell phone as the main business line. I got the 580-821-2222 number a few weeks after I had started the company and that came about when I was sitting around trying to think of ways to get more business. One day I started calling different phone numbers to see if I could find a number that was out of service that would also be really easy for people to remember. I called a lot of numbers before I discovered that 580-821-2222 was out of service and I realized that it would be perfect because it could also be remembered as 821-ACAB.

I called Dobson Cellular but they told me there was no way to get the number even though it wasn't in service. I was determined to get that number and I went to the local Dobson Cellular office on 3rd Street which is now the AT&T office. I knew one of the service representatives really well because we had been friends for a long time and I told her that I needed the number for my business. She called the main office and somehow was able to talk them into putting the number on one of my phones. In a matter of days my business started doing well and I got new cards handed out with the new number. I also put reflective lettering on the windows of my van that displayed my new number and I bought a magnetic sign that I put on the back end right next to the license plate.

In the first few months of my business I got some much needed help with advertising from a good friend by the name of Dixie that owned the Endzone bar on 2ND and Main Street. Dixie helped me a great deal by advertising my taxi on the radio and newspaper every time she ran an ad for her club. Tragically Dixie died of liver cancer a few years ago and may God rest her soul because she was a really great person that so many people loved. After I started making enough money I bought another van so my wife and I could both pick people up at the same time. By the end of the summer of 2000 my wife quit her job at the Gazebo restaurant [Holiday Inn] where she had worked since 1992 and she started working with me full time.

A guy by the name of Mitch Ore that owned an oilfield business started using us a lot and his money helped me expand my company even further. He would call me to deliver groceries to his house on the north side of Foss Lake and it was a place called the White Eagle Lodge. I would also give him rides around the Elk City area to different bars and to Oklahoma City when he needed to go to meeting at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission etc. I had never made such easy money as the money that came from Mitch and it was instrumental in getting this business on the map. I'm not sure if he was involved in organized crime and I never heard anyone say that they thought he was hooked in with the others that control this county.

At the end of the year 2001 we hired a guy to help us on New Years Eve because I knew it was going to be really busy. The guy seemed to do OK so I kept using him and even let his wife drive so we could take a break from time to time. Several months after I hired this guy we had a falling out so he decided to start his own taxi service called Bert's Taxi. I believe this is when our troubles with the law began because the city decided they needed to regulate us by making sure certain requirements were being met such as commercial insurance, license, etc.

My cousin worked at city hall as the city inspectors secretary and she called me on the phone to tell me to come to her office to show my proof of the requirements to run a taxi service. When I got to her office I showed my proof of commercial insurance and my operators license from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. I asked her if the other taxi service had showed what they had yet and she said she was going to call them as soon as I left. I guess they didn't have anything at all to show her so they got shut down for the weekend. The following week they got what they needed on one van and submitted it to the city.

A few days later my cousin called me again to ask me how many vehicles we were using and she told me the city had received information that I was advertising three vans. I believe this can about because of the business cards we were using at the time and I had put on the cards that we had three vans in service. I told her that we were planning on starting up a third van and I would bring down the additional proof of insurance as soon as I purchased another van. The following week I went to Oklahoma City and bought a nice van and got it commercially insured because I was determined to be successful with this business. I submitted all the information and it seemed that we were good to go.

In the next few weeks we found out that the other taxi service was running up to a half a dozen vehicles and I was certain they weren't carrying commercial insurance on hardly any of them because the price was so steep. I called my cousin and she told me to come back to city hall to discuss this problem. When I got there she told me that the city manager said that I had to get affidavits signed by people using the cabs that weren't commercially insured and they had to have tag numbers and vehicle descriptions listed on the affidavits. I got several people to get a ride with them and I was shocked to find out that they only had to pay three dollars for a ride anywhere in town.

The two people that had gotten the rides volunteered to sign affidavits about a pickup and a car that were being used. I guess when I turned in the affidavits the city manager Guy Hylton must have changed his mind about enforcing his rules and my cousin said that he took it in front of the city council for a vote. She said that they voted not to enforce the policy that had already been placed on us and I was about as angry as I've ever been in my life. I can't believe that a little better planning hadn't been done before we were told that we had to comply with certain rules and to me its the same thing as somebody opening up a wrecker service next door to a legitimate wrecker company but not having to meet the same requirements as they do.

Quite a while after the ordeal over the commercial insurance happened the city decided to try to purchase the local electric system and the people of Elk City got to vote for or against the purchase. Lots of people were opposed to this purchase including me and many people were very outspoken against the take over. I thought the way the commercial insurance nightmare got handled was a pretty clear indication that the city leaders weren't very good at managing things and I felt like they shouldn't be allowed to control our power service. Just a few days before the vote to decide this took place I was joking around in front of some people in a bar about giving people a free ride to the polls to vote against the take over of the electric system and apparently some of the city managers friends were listening.

The vote was an overwhelming no and the city was defeated by the people so they didn't get what they had tried so hard to achieve. The day after the election my cousin called me and told me that the city manager had heard I gave people free rides to vote against their project. She wanted to know how many people I had given a free ride to and I thought it was some kind of joke. I told her that I didn't take one single person to the polls and all of a sudden I remembered joking around at the Oasis bar about giving the free rides. She told me that Hylton was very angry and I might be in trouble. What if I had given free rides to the polls to vote and how would I possibly be able to force the people to vote a certain way? I thought this was ridiculous for a city manager to behave in such a manner but I can't say that I was real surprised especially after I learned how he handled many other things over the years.

Everything seemed to run smoothly after the silly misunderstanding over the free rides I was accused of giving to vote against the electric take over but I was sure that a major grudge was going to be held by the city manager and others closely connected to him. I could go into a lot of boring details about many things that happened in our first two years of service but I think that it would just be a waste of time.

Bert's taxi lasted a little more than a year and at one point I didn't take one single day off for way over a year because of determination. By the first part of 2003 our taxi service was doing extremely well and we had so much business that it felt almost too good to be true. My wife and I both had our share of suspicions about many of the rides we were giving and people were making comments about some of the places that we would frequently do business. Several friends were telling us that it looked like we were being used as the cover for drugs and I started to become concerned about what should be done to deter this kind of business.

For several decades I've heard many things about the criminal enterprise that has existed in this county and all of a sudden I was starting to pick up an enormous amount of details about a lot of the people that are responsible for supplying the majority of the illegal narcotics in this area. I had no idea of the magnitude of this operation and it was a real shock once I learned about the way things are operated by the higher ups.

By the summer of 2003 I had built a nice work shop behind our house and a friend that is a GM Goodwrench mechanic started coming by to work on things that were in need of repair. At this point we had five vans and most of them were high mileage units that required more maintenance than newer ones. I was able to find some pretty nice older vans at a really cheap price and we had such a volume of people that it wasn't cost effective to use new expensive equipment because too many things happen around the bar scene. It was nothing for us to give over one hundred rides in a twenty four hour period using three cabs and doing that much business made it necessary to have a couple of spare vehicles so when one of them needed a major repair a replacement was available.

We tried being available 24 hours a day a few different times and finally we decided to open at seven in the morning and try to close around three the following morning. I would take turns opening up in the morning with a driver and if I opened at seven a.m. I would work straight through the twenty hour shift. The driver would work from noon till three a.m. and then start at seven. We rotated back and forth like this for a long time and my wife would fill in any gaps. We always ran three vans after dark on the weekends because of the amount of calls that came in and it takes a person with a lot of patience to be able to handle the kind of business that often comes along with the nightclub scene. I bet you have heard the old saying about being the only one sober around a bunch of drunks and some times it can really get on your last nerve when someone is real intoxicated especially if it is a group of people. Its always been at night when the majority of our problems have occurred and its amazing that we have made it ten full years without a serious injury or accident.

I felt like our business had finally gotten established after three years and we were starting to become financially secure. We had a lot of upper class people using our service mainly because the police were cracking down on drunk drivers more than ever before. We were in like Flynn with the click as I so often refer to a certain group of people that control things around here but we also gave a lot of people rides that didn't have their own transportation. I always tried to help somebody that was down on their luck by providing a cheap ride or ever donating my time to many people that looked like they were in need of a break. I always got a lot of satisfaction from helping someone and it wasn't about money to me as strange as that might sound to some of you.

Over the last ten years we have kept an incredible amount drivers off the road that were too intoxicated to safely drive themselves and who knows how many lives could have been ruined if an inexpensive service hadn't been available. We have stayed cheap since the very first day that I started this taxi service and sometimes people that are well off financially reward us by giving a nice size tip. If we hadn't received some good tips over the years we would have never survived even the first couple of years and this town is full of people that are generous. I love Elk City and I plan on staying here another forty two years if that is possible.

Before I go any further with this story I would like to say that I have many faults and I have made a lot of mistakes in my life. No one is perfect but no matter what I did I couldn't have possibly deserved all the misery that has been dealt out by this game playing group of people that have control of so much. I may add certain details to this story at a later time and a lot of names are being withheld because I believe that I might still be able to patch some of the hard feelings up that exist with a few people in this county. I'm sure that in time I can forgive most of the things that have went on over the last few years but it will never be forgotten.

I've had quite a few drivers over the years and it is impossible to keep good help doing this kind of work. Betty that runs Betty Boop's Taxi worked with us for over four years but before she came along we had a few problems. In the middle part of 2003 I had a guy working for me that I thought I knew but it turned out that he had some issues that I couldn't deal with. I let him go after a month or so and two weeks after we parted ways five drug task force vehicles pulled up in front of my house looking for him.

When they got to my house I was setting in my van with my son Dylan and Hank Twyman was the first officer out of his vehicle. When he came up to the van he asked me if I had saw Lenard and I told him no that he hadn't worked for me in a couple of weeks. By this time R.C. Daniels was right behind him and Hank turned around and said in a very sarcastic voice "He hasn't seen him in a couple of weeks". I asked what Lenard had done and I didn't get a reply so I told them that my son and I were going to eat at Western Sizzin and they were more than welcome to join us. I then put the van in reverse and drove off with the whole group of them standing in the yard. There was no reason for five of these vehicles to show up at my house because of something a former employee had done and they had enough information to know that he wasn't there.

About a week later this guy comes along and starts getting a ride about ten times a day. He asked me for a job till I was blue in the face and he wouldn't take no for an answer. He had a girl the same age as my boy and my wife became friends with him and his wife. She started picking up their child and taking her to school in the morning and I didn't see any problems for a while. After he continued to ask me for a job every time I gave him a ride I started checking with some of my other customers to see if they knew anything about him. One of my good friends told me that the guy was real bad news and I better keep a close eye on him. He also told me he heard the guy sold dope and was into all kinds of bad stuff. A couple of customers told me they heard he was an informant and was responsible for some pretty bad deeds that other informants weren't allowed to do.

Because of the tremendous amount of material involved in the following information many details will be explained in greater depth at a later time. A longer more thorough version of this story will provide much more about this wacky ordeal and I hope to have a complete manuscript prepared very soon that is professionally written by someone who can make all the words come out just right. I have a very poor writing ability because of a limited education and I'm sure you have become well aware of this by now after reading what I have written so far. I think I'm getting better at putting some of these words together and compared to my first blog I feel like I'm doing a lot better. What do you expect from an Okie farm boy?

I want to make it absolutely clear that I am in no way trying to insinuate that I'm some kind of a saint and nothing could be further from the truth. I've definitely did my share of wrong doing over the years but I do believe that my criminal record of no convictions speaks for itself and I have always made legitimate money in an honest way. The complete truth is being told in this story and I believe that so much wrong doing has been done that some people should be punished for the criminal actions they have committed against us in so many ways.

The more I found out about our new frequent customer the more mistrust I started to feel towards him and for years now I have referred to this guy as the untouchable informant because of all the crimes he got away with. The first bad situation arose one morning while my wife was working and Eddy called her and asked her to go to a house on the 400 block on MacArthur to pick up a computer that he claimed belonged to him. When my wife got to the house she went up to the door and was confronted by a guy by the name of Willis Johnson who was the landlord. His sister in law Heather Mulligan was renting the house from him but she wasn't home at the time and Willis told my wife that he had already told Eddy he wasn't going to get the computer that was in question.

He started telling my wife about quite a few things that was going on and she came home to tell me. Willis claimed that Heather couldn't pay for some product that she had gotten on credit and Eddy just took it up on himself to take the computer in return for her debt. That really didn't sound too bad till I heard more about what had went on and Willis said that Heather had already had to call the police because Eddy had been driving by her house saying he was going to burn her house down if she didn't pay what she owed for the party favors he had fronted to her.

I decided to drive down to the house to talk to Willis myself and he turned out to be a real descent guy that was fed up with this guy terrorizing Heather. He started telling me about the first time Eddy came to get the computer. Willis said that after he ran Eddy off from the property that he got in his pickup and followed Eddy home. He said he was arrested by the police for trespassing but he claimed he hadn't set foot on Eddy's property.

I decided to go to the police station to see what I could find out about this mess and while I was there I got a copy of a police report that Heather had filed about the threats to burn her house to the ground. Her writing was extremely primitive and very hard to make out. It was very clear that she couldn't of had much more than a grade school education and believe it or not that's actually being kind. I believe Willis said she had moved here from the hills in Tennessee and had a very poor family. I felt sorry for her and she seemed like someone that had just had a bad sting of luck.

I went inside Eddy’s house once because he wanted to show me his knives and lighters that he had for sale. When I went in I noticed that he had monitors that were hooked up to camera’s on the outside of the house so he could see if anyone was outside. On the front door there were two hook type brackets that allowed him to put a 4x4 post side ways across the middle of the door similar to one on a barn door. It was to prevent the door from being kicked in and if I had to guess I would say there was probably one on the back door as well. He showed me boxes of knives and lighters and he had hundreds of them. He told my wife a lot of details about lawyers, city workers, business owners, police and he seemed to know a lot about the corruption in this place. He started calling my wife for a ride a lot and I think he started to think he could be more than just friends with her. I was the most interested in some of the things he had to say about Dobson Cellular and I didn’t know if he was telling the complete truth or not. I kept checking around to find out about him and I started watching him to see what kind of people was going by his house. I even sat down the road from his house to watch all the traffic coming and going. I couldn’t understand how he was getting by with dealing to so many people without getting busted and I noticed that quite a few of the people going to his house were people that I had been told were informants.

It finally gets back to him that I’m asking questions about him and he gets really angry. He called me on the phone one night and threatened to burn my house down after we had a pretty nasty exchange of words. I told him that if he came near my wife again that I would put five bullets in each side of his head. A few minutes later a police officer by the name of Brad Cochran came to my house and asked me if I had threatened to put five bullets in each side of Eddy’s head. I told him yes and I told him that he had threaten to burn my house down just like he had done to Heather Mulligan. Officer Cockran said that Eddy had recorded the threat that I had made and he had to take me in custody. At this time the dispatcher said something to him on his radio and after talking to them a few seconds he said that Eddy’s wife had called the police station to tell them that Eddy had made threats towards me as well. The cop told me not to go near Eddy and he also said I didn’t have to be placed under arrest this time. After this incident I started to really get angry with Eddy and I couldn't understand why he was jacking with us. It was clear that he had been bound and determined to get a job driving the taxi and what a nightmare that would have been. I was really stressed out from working so much and I decided to get away by driving to Aspen, Colorado for a week so I could get some of this off my mind. We had a really good time and a couple of friends took care of the cab service while we were gone.

Over the next month I have several encounters with Eddy driving down the road and obscene gestures became a common greeting between the two of us. He got mad because I told some of the people he knew that he was secretly working with the police as an informant. Eddy called my phone and said that the next time I call his phone its going to be the time that the lights end. This time I recorded the threat and I went to the police station to talk to Officer David Pruitt and he said he thought it was enough to get a protective order on Eddy. We file a protective order and when we get to the lobby of the courtroom Eddy and his wife are coming out of the judges chambers. We go into the courtroom and tell our side of the story to JudgeHaught . Eddy then tells his side of the story and claims that I was constantly calling his phone. The judge then asked me if I had been calling his phone and I told him no. I told the judge that I had a copy of my phone bill and I had the many calls that Eddy had made to our phones circled with a marker. Eddy tells the judge that I am constantly driving by his house on the 700 block of Ave. D and I provided the judge with a list of my customers that lived in that neighborhood with their phone numbers, addresses, etc. The judge agrees to grant the protective order and he sets a date for us to come back in 3 months. After the 3 months was up we went back to court to seek a permanent restraining order but the judge was gone and some lady came in the court room to tell us that we would have to refile another protective order. Eddy didn’t even show up to contest the order so it should have been made permanent but the lady said there was nothing she could do. Later on I checked the court records and it said that I had requested that the order be dismissed.

Tensions are still running high over the next couple of months and Eddy decides to become a bounty hunter. He points a gun at me several times driving down the road and I refuse to go to the police after what happened over the protective order. One day Eddy goes to the court clerks office inside the Beckham County court house and threatens a bonds lady because she is refusing to pay him a bounty on some guy by the name of Rob that had jumped bail. He gets arrested and has drugs in his pocket and he also has a loaded firearm. He gets charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, kidnapping and several more things. I talked to the bonds lady and told her about the problems we have been having with this guy including the times he was waving a gun at me. The next day I get a call from Chet Glancey with the District 3 Drug Task Force and he says that I need to come to their office to talk about Eddy waving a gun at me. When I arrive I go into an office with Chet and R.C. Daniel and we talk about what had happened over the last few months. Chet said that Eddy was going to get what he had coming and I had already met with Chet at the police station about 6 months before this to try to find out information about Eddy. I told them that a guy by the name of Rob had called me a couple of weeks ago because he needed a jump start for a U-haul truck that was at Eddy’s house. I still had the number the guy had called me from and Chet dialed the number on his phone. After talking for a few minutes I left with the impression that Eddy was in a huge bind. I became interested in Eddy’s case and printed out his charges off the Oklahoma Department of Criminal Records website. Eddy got a lawyer from Cordell, Oklahoma by the name of Scott Mason and he was telling people that the lawyer fee was fifty thousand dollars. I started attending Eddy’s Court appearances and I wanted to see justice served. Eddy’s lawyer issued a subpoena to Dobson Cellular and I’m still not sure what it was about. Around a week after the subpoena was issued all of Eddy’s charges were erased as if they had never even been filed. I couldn’t believe it and I wanted to know how this could be possible. I went to the court clerks office at the courthouse but I couldn’t find anything out.

I called a private detective in Altus, Oklahoma and talked to him quite a while about all of this. I told him about Eddy and his wife being inside the judges chambers when we appeared on the protective order and he said that was ridiculous and Judge Haught should not allow this. He also said that he thought that an agent by the name of Don with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations was probably involved in getting the charges erased. He said that this agent was from Cordell and he had heard many things about him. I went to see a lawyer here in Elk City to ask him about this and he called Eddy’s lawyer Scott Mason to ask him how he got the charges to disappear. Scott didn’t have anything to say of course and after they ended the call the lawyer told me that the most that should have happened was a dismissal on the charges. About a month after this Eddy got caught supposedly with twenty five thousand dollars in counterfeit money. It made the front page of the Elk City Daily News but the paper didn’t list any names. I went to the Elk City Police Department to talk to a detective about this stuff and he told me that Eddy was just a little slippery. Eddy ended up getting a minor charge for using a forged instrument or something close to that. At the end of 2003 a reporter at the Elk City Daily News contacted me about doing a story about our taxi service. She interviewed us and took a picture of us standing next to one of our vans. The picture covered a big portion of the front page of the newspaper and the headlines read Local cabby's save drunks. I was a little irritated when I first saw the headlines but after I read the story I discovered that she had done a great job at writing the story. It won several journalism awards in Lawton and Oklahoma City and the reporter was really good at what she did.

In the spring of 2004 my wife found out she was pregnant with our second child and it was the girl she was wanting so bad. Alyson was born on December 1st 2004 and she is a doll. It had been a long time since Eddy and I had crossed each others paths but once again gestures were being exchanged as we passed each other on the road. One day when Alyson was about 2 months old my wife took her to Walmart and when my wife got in the van and started to back out of a parking spot she said that Eddy had pulled his car in behind her. I was at home sleeping and she said she didn’t really want to call the police unless she had to. After a few minutes he moved out of the way and she came home to tell me about it. Eddy had a job at C & C Crane Service and I had got one of his business cards from a friend that worked at one of the quick stops here in town. The best thing for us to do would have been to call the police but I was still aggravated about the protective order that got dismissed a few months before this. I tried to say cool about what my wife had told me about Eddy parking behind her but I picked up the phone and called him on a number that was listed on his business card. As soon as he answered the phone I told him that I needed a crane and he asked me who I was. I told him that it was his good ole buddy the cab driver and I needed a crane to lift him up and drop him in a hole. I started cussing him up and down and I guess while we were on the phone he drove to the police station. Just a few minutes after he hung up on me five police cars showed up and one of the officers showed me a ticket for Disturbing the peace. He told me that I needed to sign the ticket but when I saw Eddy’s name on the ticket as the arresting officer I told them that I wasn’t going to sign it. On the ticket there was a space that said arresting officer and it is for a person that is making the complaint and pressing charges. Several of the police officers tried to convince me to just sign the ticket but I refused. I told them about what had happened at Wal -Mart and I was sick of him following us around. At this point the officer put up the ticket book and placed me under arrest. I got out eight hours later and I posted a bond of one hundred and fifty four dollars which was the cost of the ticket.

Saturday, January 2, 2010

When I got to city court to try to fight the ticket I noticed Eddy was already there and he was sitting next to the city attorney Steve Hollaway . I sat down and waited for a few minutes before the city attorney made a motion with his hand for me to come over to his table. We both told our side of what had happened and I began showing the city attorney the police report where Eddy had threatened to burn the house down that Heather Mulligan lived in. I also showed a copy of the protective order that I had placed on Eddy over the threats that he had made toward me and the look on Eddy’s face was real hateful. I told Steve that the protective order should have been made permanent since Eddy didn’t show up to contest it. I told him about what Eddy had done inside the court clerks office and about the counterfeiting in Southgate. The city attorney then told me that if I didn’t plead guilty to the disturbing the peace charge that I would never have a friend at the police station again. I told him that I didn’t think it was right for Eddy to get away with everything like he was and I wanted to plead not guilty. When I said that Steve told me that he would ask the judge for drug testing and jail time if I pleaded not guilty. I told him that I didn’t have any drug charges and I asked him how much jail time I was facing. He didn’t answer me right off so I went ahead and repeated my not guilty plea. This seemed to infuriate him and his face turned red. He looked at me and said with an angry voice get over there as he pointed to some chairs on the other side of the court room. He called the police officer to the stand that had placed me under arrest and this officer is a really nice guy by the name of Joel Pierce. Steve asked Joel several questions and then it was my turn to cross examine Joel. I asked Joel if he had any kids and he said yes. I then asked him what he would do if someone was harassing his family and Steve objected to my question. At this time I stated that I had no more questions. Judge Brown asked if anyone else had anything to say before he made his decision. No one said anything and the judge said that he was finding me guilty but he was reducing the fine in half. The city attorney told the judge that I had already paid the whole amount when I posted bond and Judge Brown said that a check for 77 dollars would be mailed to me. The judge asked if there was anything else and I asked the city attorney if he was going to ask for drug testing and jail time. Steve said no and I was satisfied with the verdict the judge handed out because I was in fact guilty but I felt like I needed to at least get a couple of words in. I believe that Judge Brown is one of the most fair men in this town and I thanked him for giving me half of my money back as I was leaving the court room.

A few days later I got served papers for a protective order that Eddy had placed on me. I decided to try to talk to the local F.B.I. agent about what Eddie had gotten by with at the Beckham County Court House and I was extremely curious how he got all those felonies erased. I called agent Brad Thompson at 580-225-6000 and he is our local F.B.I. field agent. I told Brad who I was and I explained that I would like to setup a meeting to talk about a few things. He wanted to know what was going on and I told him about a few of the things that had happened. I told him that I thought that someone from the drug task force had told Eddy to jack with us because of information that I had learned about the corruption in this county and he got very defensive. He told me that he worked with these guys and there was no corruption in Beckham County. I could tell that I wasn't going to get any help from Brad but before we disconnected he said he would look into some of these things and also said he would setup a meeting with me soon. After I got off the phone with Brad I called the Oklahoma City F.B.I. to see if I could find out anything from them. I spoke to an agent and he told me I should call the local agent in Elk City. When I told him I had already spoken to Brad and he told me there was no corruption in Beckham County he said so you don't trust the local F.B.I. huh. Before I could say anything Brad came on the phone and told me that our meeting was canceled and said that I didn't have enough credibility to ask questions about corruption. It was kind of scary how Brad all of a sudden came on the line like this and there wasn't much doubt that he was listening on the line the whole time that I was on the phone with the F.B.I. in Oklahoma City. Brad hung up on me after he finished saying what he had to say and I felt really shocked by what had just happened.

The next day I went to see the district attorney at the Beckham County Court House and I talked to Dennis Smith himself. I told him about the situation and he said that he didn't make the laws he only enforced them. I told him that I was concerned about the charges all getting erased on Eddy's case especially since he had a protective order on me. I told Dennis Eddy had pointed a gun at me and threatened to burn my house down. Also I told him Eddy had parked behind my wife at Walmart where she couldn't back out and he just did so many other things that the police should have put a stop to. He told me that he would check into some of this and I shook his hands with him on my way out of his office. While I was at the court house I saw a friend that worked there and she told me that the sheriff had put a restriction on Eddy. I asked her what she meant and she said that Eddy could never come inside the Beckham County Court House again without an escort from a deputy sherriff. I thought she was joking but sure enough it was true because a few days later when I got to court to appear on the protective order Eddy came in the court room escorted by a sheriff deputy. I couldn't believe it and an awful lot of bizarre things were happening. I think the sheriff was angry that Eddy was able to get all the charges erased and he was going to make sure that eddy behaved himself from now on while he was inside the court house.

A judge from Custer County by the name of Judge Weadon was temporary taking Judge Haught's place and the judge was the wife of the head Oklahoma Highway Patrol over Beckham and Roger Mills County. The judge asked about the night I had gotten arrested for the disturbing the peace and I explained what had happened in detail including the names I had called Eddy on the phone. I had then said that Eddy was definitely no saint and I found it absolutely incredible that he had to be escorted into the court house by a deputy sheriff because of what he had done inside the court clerks office. The judge asked Eddy if he had anything he wanted to add and he said that he wanted her to make a decision on a permanent protective order right then because he didn't want to come back later on. Judge Weaden told Eddy that he was winning and she couldn't issue a permanent order at the time. She set another date for us to come back and I think the whole thing was an embarrassment to the court system.

When the next court hearing rolled around Eddy was doing a couple of weeks in jail over the possession of a forged instrument charge he had got over the counterfeiting incident and I think the only reason he even had to do these few weeks was because the detective that had arrested him went out on a limb to make sure the charge stuck. He was the same detective that had told me that Eddy was just a little slippery the day I had met with him at the Elk City Police Department and I believe that he wasn't the only member of law enforcement that was angry about Eddy being so slippery by using blackmail.

Judge Haught had to ask a deputy to have a jailer bring Eddy over from the jail so we could have the hearing on the protective order. After Eddy was brought in Judge Haught asked him what he wanted to do and Eddy said that he wanted to drop the protective order. He also said that he held no animosity toward me and the judge said he was lifting the protective order. As I walked out of the court room I couldn't help but to think that this was all some kind of twisted game that had gotten way out of hand and I think if Eddy hadn't got in trouble inside the court house that all this would have ended up way worse. The more I thought about all the things that Eddy had got away with the more questions I had about all this. Eddy had got away with all those felonies inside the court house, threatening to burn me and others out of their homes, counterfeiting, waving a gun at people, jacking with my wife and kids, and he even has to have a deputy escort him inside the court house from now on but he still had enough credibility to put a protective order on me. I believe anyone can see a very troubling picture with all this and I'm convinced he was blackmailing somebody very powerful to pull all this off.

To me this place is like a million piece jigsaw puzzle and its seems as though I have put together the outside but getting the inside pieces to fit are much more difficult. I didn't have anymore run ins with Eddy after this but I was constantly having to deal with a lot of games being played by many others involved in the corruption. 2006 was a real bad year because my dad died and he was a very wise and respected man around here. He was eighty one years old when he died and he had lived a great life. I wish I would have learned a lot more from him when I was younger and he could do so many different things. Toward the end of 2006 the games got more difficult and I believe the people that are in control of this town were trying to persuade me to give up my taxi service by making things as hard as possible without being too obvious. Sometimes I would go on over a dozen calls and spend hours on the road but I wouldn't make any money because I believe the phone was being controlled so I would only get calls from certain people. Either the person would already be gone, they would cancel when I would be almost there, or they would do something really irritating like say oh I forgot my wallet. Its not possible to have as many difficulty's as I did without someone giving orders to make it happen that way. One trick that was constantly played was someone would call every few minutes to see how much longer it was going to be before I arrived and when I did arrive they wouldn't answer the phone or was no where to be found. I would take off and as soon as I would get a few minutes away they would call back to say sorry I'm ready now or something similar to that. This behavior became very common and what a cruel way to do someones business.

One week in the late part of 2006 we had seventeen flat tires and about half of them had the sidewalls punctured by a sharp object such as an ice pick. I had seven vans at the time and two of them got the side windows broken out. A beer bottle was thrown at one of the vans and the other one was hit by something such as a bat or hammer. Also something very corrosive was put in the gas tanks on three vans and it was strong enough to ruin the engines. I had a mechanic take a look at the fuel and he thought it might have been costic acid that was used because the fill pipe that went into the fuel tank was rusted on the inside. I got locking gas caps on my other vans and I began to keep as many of them inside my shop and garage as possible. I do believe who ever was doing this could have did a lot better job if they would have really wanted to. They could have broke out a bunch of windows and did a lot more damage. I feel fortunate that games were being played instead of something way worse and if they had really wanted me completely out of business it would have been made to happen.

One thing I didn't talk about was what happened when I called the F.C.C. and actually got through to someone in the mid part of 2007. I was connected to a lady by the name of Theresa Kinsey and she worked in the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau at the Federal Communications Commission in Washington D.C. She seemed very concerned by what I was telling her and then all of a sudden I got a message on my Sprint phone that said Sprint Washington on the screen of the phone. I told Theresa about the message and she told me to hang up and call the message center to check the message then call her back. I called the message center but there was no message so I called her back and she sounded like she was afraid. She said she had an attorney in her office and she couldn't help me. I told her that I thought the message was on her end and she told me I should go to Hollywood with my story. Later on in this story I talk about a trip I made to Hollywood and I think I was so irritated by what she told me that it only made me want to fight all this even more.

Another thing I didn't talk about in the first blog was when I had decided to give the local F.B.I. agent another call in August of 2007 and I was hoping that since it had been a couple of years everything might go a little better than our last conversation. I called the local office and spoke to the same agent I had talked to a few years before. Agent Brad Thompson agreed to meet with me and told me to come to his office tomorrow afternoon at three. The next day I got on my motorcycle and started riding to his office. Right before I got to the corner of Washington and Country Club a pickup swerved at me so I pulled into the funeral home parking lot. The pickup also pulled in and came up next to me. I figured they wanted to apologize for almost hitting me but the guy driving only said one thing. He asked me if I knew where he could dump a load of hot asphalt and then he drove off. There were three men inside the pickup and I recognized the driver as the owner of one of the local glass shops. I believe that was done to try to scare me and it definitely got my attention. After that I rode my cycle on to Brads office and his office is at the top of the Apple Annie building on the corner of Broadway and Jefferson. I went into a first floor door and Brad met me there to open a security door. We walked up stairs and I went through a metal detector similar to one in an airport. After I cleared the detector we sat down at a huge oval shaped table that was very extravagant and I was amazed how sophisticated his office appeared. On one of the walls there was a big American flag and everything was very clean and appealing. Brad was a tall guy with an immaculate complexion and he looked like he was in really good shape. The first thing he said to me was please don't act like you know me if I see you on the street and he said he was undercover.

I began to tell him about some of the things that had went on earlier that year and I started with the deal Joe had presented about not calling the F.C.C. After I had talked for about ten minutes Brad looked at me with a real serious look on his face and said Randy I'm not jacking with your phone. I was surprised by this and I told him that I wasn't accusing him but I needed his help to find out who was behind the phone tampering. Just the way he had made the remark that it wasn't him that was jacking with the phones sounded really odd the way he said it and I started getting the feeling that this meeting was a bad idea. I started to suspect that it very well could have been him and he definitely had access to all the equipment. We continued to talk and I went into some details about the two D.T.F. agents in the back of their warehouse that had intimidated me with a gun. We also talked about what was going on with the phones and I described some of the problems that we were having getting the calls to come through. I told him about the Sprint Nextel corporate executive by the name of Andre Sajaro that gave me the case number 1463973 and how Andre said that all he got was busy signal after many attempts of trying to call my number. I told brad that I could only call Andre back if I went to a pay phone and this is when he told me to start logging all this stuff and go to the police station to complain about the phone calls being blocked. This is the incident where I met with two detectives at the police station and all of a sudden I was placed into custody when I told them that I might need protection fromsome people.

Most of the things we talked about are went over in detail in my first blog. Brad told me he wanted me to come to work for him as an informant and that he would protect me. I told him that I just wanted to run my cab and he said so you have what a high school education. I said it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out there was something way wrong with this scenario and I thought that all this had gone too far. We had talked for about an hour before he said he would look into this and I took that as a sign that the meeting was over. I thanked him before I left there feeling as if I had been wasting my time to even go to his office. I wish I would have tried to handle things a little differently the first time I spoke with him and if I would have knew what I know now back in 2004 things might have turned out a little differently. This meeting was about two months before an incident happened in November of 2007 where Brad had called me on the phone to tell me that we didn't need a taxi service here anymore and if I wanted to get my phone to work right I was going to have to go to the Texas Panhandle to get phone service. This incident is also talked about in detail in killacab.blogspot.com and there is just too much wrong doing to be able to stomach in one life time much less a couple of years. I do believe I have documented so much of the phone trouble that its no longer a case of proving it but it seems to be a case on whether it really matters if you can prove it. Doesn't look much like America from where I'm setting folks and being on the wrong end of this stick has been nothing but pure hell. How much is enough to prove this and why did I get such a beating from these guys?

Got an interesting story about a service called Telenav that some of you might find interesting. When I was at Channel 5 News in Oklahoma City getting interviewed by Mark Opgrande I received a text message on my AT&T prepaid phone that at the time had the 2222 number on it. The text message came from 86477 and the message said your Telenav pin has been changed to 2222. I didn't really think much about it and after I got back to Elk City I decided to reply back to the message. I think I replied help and as soon as the message was sent I started getting the text message that you get on the AT&T prepaid phone that displays your balance.

Some of you guys may not be familiar with the AT&T prepaid phones but when you send a text message or hang up from making a call the phone screen displays a text message that tells the balance of the phone and how much the last transaction cost. I got this same balance text message every two and a half minutes for several hours. I called 611 for customer service and it was another one of them one of a kind situations that only seems to happen to me of course. The service representative said that the messages were going in a loop for some reason and he hadn't ever saw it happen before. He had to shut down the text messaging completely to make the messages stop.

I was really curios about Telenav so I pulled them up on the internet. Its a company out of California and I had an account already setup under the 2222 phone number and the strangest thing was that the email address that setup the account was santaclaus@thenorthpole.com or something very similar to that. I wish I would have wrote the email address down because it got removed almost immediately after I saw it. I connected to a service representative with Telenav and I asked him about the account. He told me that it had been setup at our local AT&T facility on 3rd street but another strange thing that seemed to trouble the guy was that AT&T prepaid phones don't support Telenav. He said that the service was only an option on the phones with contracts or by the month plans.

I tried to get as much info out of the guy as I could and he reassured me that it had definitely been setup at the local AT&T facility. After I got off the phone with this guy I decided to try to reply to the message at 86477 again and it made the same thing happen where I received the balance text messages ever two and a half minutes. I called 611 again and asked to speak with a supervisor about this situation and he said it was definitively a new one to him and couldn't figure out what was causing it. He said it looked like some kind of virus was causing it and he had to shut off the text messages on the phone and restart them to get it to stop.

After I got off the phone with him I went to the AT&T store on the corner of 3rd and Walker to try to see if I could get them to look into it. One of there service representatives sent a text message to the 86477 number from their phone and a message came back that said welcome to Telenav address sharing. Its a GPS tracking service and the only conclusion that we could come up with was that the messages on my phone were being sent in a loop to keep me from getting the message that said anything about Telenav. Nobody at the AT&T facility could find any information about a Telenav account being setup on my phone and this was about par for the course.
This part of the story picks up where the first blog left off and as I have said before too many details are involved to list everything that went on. One day in March of 2008 I was surfing the web trying to find a way to stop some of the phone tampering. I still had the land line with the 580-821-2222 number but I was eager to put the number back on a mobile phone so I didn't have to keep the land line forwarded to the 225-TAXI cell phone. Also I wanted away from the land line because I was certain that it was more secure than any type of phone and after all the stuff had happened to it I was completely fed up with AT&T.

I saw an advertisement for a company by the name of Credo Mobile and it caught my attention because they had stuff on the Credo website that was talking about illegal wiretaps. Credo's main office is in San Francisco, California and a lot of people were talking about them because the company was donating a portion of what the customer's paid on their phone bill to civil rights groups like the the ACLU, Center for Victims of Torture, etc. Credo also has an office in Atlanta, Georgia and has it's own civil rights group called Credo Action. Credo also goes by the name of Working Assets and I thought that I might have finally found a company that could stop some of the phone games.

I hit an icon on Credo's website that said click to call and by entering your phone number in a little box then clicking on it with the mouse it called my phone using a company by the name of Estara. I think it was on march 17, 2008 when I ordered the Credo phones and when I got connected with one of their phone representatives I made sure I told her about some of the things that had happened to my phones and asked if it was possible if this same tampering could continue once I put my two business numbers with Credo. I told her that if I even got a phone with a voice mailbox that the voice mails were delayed, erased, or so distorted that it was just absolutely outrageous.

We were suppose to receive the Credo phones in three to five business days according to the lady that processed the order on March 17th but it took 17 days to get them Fed Ex from a company by the name of Bright Star U.S. in Libertyville, Illinois. I believe the reason it took so long to receive the phones was because the phones were secretly shipped to Farmers Branch, Texas to a place called Intec Billing Solutions where they were tampered with and then shipped to Oklahoma City where they were put on a truck and shipped Fed Ex ground to me. I have quite a few reasons for suspecting this and the first two reasons are because of the amount of time it took to receive the phones and because the bill for the Credo mobile phone service came from Farmers Branch, Texas instead of Atlanta, Georgia like all the other Credo bills were coming from [I still have the envelope that the bill came in and it has a Farmers Branch, Texas zip code].

Several things point toward a place called Intec Billing Solutions in Farmers Branch, Texas and they also have an office in Atlanta, Georgia that is their main headquarters. No one from Credo could provide any reason why my Credo bill was being mailed out of Texas and several representatives seemed to be stumped by some of this because Credo doesn't have any place in Texas whatsoever. No customer service center, billing center, technical center, or even a retail store that sells any their products. I went to great links to look into this and I even contacted other Credo customers off of a blog site and there is no doubt that the bill should have came from Credo's billing center in Atlanta, Georgia and no where else.

The only way I finally found out about this Intec Billing Solutions was because my wife and I were trying to look at our Credo Web Bill on their website one day. After we signed up with the Credo Member number on the web site we tried to access the web bill but it kept saying that we were entering the wrong pass word. I knew I had the pass word right but time after time it kept saying it was incorrect so I requested a new pass word. A new pass word came in my wife's email that was from the email address credo@intecbilling.com or very close to that and conveniently that email disappeared out of my wife's email a few days later like so many emails such as ones from the F.C.C. etc.

I entered the pass word that had came from the Intec Billing email and then it all of a sudden said that a checking account number and routing number had to be entered before it would let the web bill open. At this time a strange object appeared on the computer screen and followed the mouse cursor around. I asked my wife if she had ever seen anything like it because I was almost computer illiterate at that time and she had quite a bit of experience with computers. She said she didn't know what it was so I told my fifteen year old son Dylan to come look at it because he has been a computer whiz since early in his childhood. He actually won the key boarding and computer literacy award out of all of the 6th grade classes here in the Elk City School and his fingers have always been like magic. I think its because of playing some many video games while he was growing up and when he was in the third grade I bought him a state of the art Dell laptop computer that was almost fifteen hundred dollars. I was always gone hauling people around with the cab and I had so little time to spend with him. I wanted him to have something that he could entertain himself with besides the Sony PlayStation or X Box Live and it was the greatest thing to see how fast he began to type in such a short amount of time.

My son said that he had never seen anything like this object that was on the computer screen and my computer was a pretty good HP desk top. We all agreed that it looked like the cross hairs of a rifle scope if you were looking into the scope while aiming a gun at something. It was almost scary to see this object on the screen and I wiil never forget what it looked like or how strange it was.

I got a check and started entering the checking account number while this object continued to follow the mouse cursor. My son and wife continued to watch and we were all three fascinated by something so unique. After I saw how surprised they were about it I realized that it must be something being done by some people connected to the federal boys and I knew almost nothing about computers at this time. After all that had went on during the year before this it really wasn't that shocking to have something that weird happening at this point. I wish I would have video taped it because I bet a computer guru somewhere will be able to tell us of some tool that law enforcement or somebody with some high tech equipment can use to place something like this on your computer screen to keep you from being able to click your mouse on certain things and be able to stop your keys from counting when you press them just like they had done so many times on my phones.

I really hate to think that's what was going on but it was definitely the most bizarre thing that I have ever seen on a computer and after I got the account number entered it ask me for the routing number. As soon as I entered the routing number I assumed that we could finally view the web bill because I was curious to see how much we were getting charged for certain things but surprisingly enough it said the routing number was incorrect and we triple checked everything and reentered the numbers at least a half a dozen times before finally just giving up.

I called customer service but they were already closed and we finally said the heck with it. I'm glad the my wife and son saw it because their the only ones that I care to prove this to because both of them have seen a bunch of things with the phones and computers. Honestly what good would it do for me to be able to prove this because the way I see it how can you stop somebody this powerful that has this many tools if their hell bent on tampering with your computers and phones. This story may be the only shot we have and even that may not be enough to stop them as corrupt as things have gotten with the law and the government.

I called Intec Billing Solutions in Farmers Branch, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia quite a few times but of course it got me no where. I found some pretty interesting information on Intec's web site by looking into their business partners and one of their business partners is a company by the name of Sensage in California. Both Sensage and Intec have government partnerships with the F.B.I.,the National Security Agency, and of course Homeland Security.
This is a really nutty story that I'm about to tell and videos six and seven show some of this. It deals with an incident that involved me having Jim Hickman's phone number and he is the head of the radiology department at the local hospital. I looked Jim up on the internet and he has a book about UFO's but I haven't read it yet. Every time I would try to port my number to another phone I had nothing but pure heck. I would have to wait on a crooked Sim card to come in the mail and this one came from a logistics center in Medley, Florida.

The other Sim card came from a place in Wilmington, Ohio called Airborne Logistics and funny how I didn't even have a voice mailbox on any of these phones. What a violation of my civil liberties this was. When I purchased the first phone from Walmart in August of 2007 I called Net Ten customer service to port my number on the phone but the Sim card got damaged and they told me that I was going to have to wait on a Sim card in the mail. I told them that I couldn't wait and I went to buy another phone from Walmart so I could get the number active. A Net Ten supervisor told me that when I called back in that I needed to make it clear that I was porting a number in from Sprint so the Sim card wouldn't get damaged again.

After I called back with another new phone I made it crystal clear that I was porting my 580-225-TAXI number in from Sprint and the rep acted as if he had never even heard of Sprint. I thought that was a little much but I've seen it all so I was gullible and we proceeded with the port. A few minutes later the same thing happened and I believe it was absolutely intentional. He told me that I would have to wait on a new Sim card to come in the mail and I was hopping mad.

About nine months later was when I got Jim's number and I can't believe that I had four phones in a row that already had someones voice mails already on the phones. In May of 2008 I decided to port the 225-TAXI number over to Tracfone Wireless and I bought a phone from Walmart. This time when I called in they didn't play games and I was told that a Sim card had to be mailed to me because the Sim card that came with the phone was useless. I asked why but I never have got a reasonable answer to this question and why was it just me that couldn't transfer a number to one of these services because I know many people that have without having to wait for a Sim card in the mail.

When the Sim card arrived I put it in and activated the phone but it didn't have a voice mailbox on the phone. I thought that was about par for the course so I decided to put the Sim card in the phone that came with it when it was purchased new from Walmart. As soon as I turned the phone on it had voice mail so I checked the messages. To my surprise they were for Jim Hickman so I decided to call my other phone to see what number came up. When the call came in I noticed that it was from phone number 580-243-9869 and I returned the called to make sure it connected to that number. It was crazy how this phone had free text messages and if you know anything about Tracfone you should know that nothing is free with their service.

I guess Jim was subscribed to Fox News with this 243 number and I was receiving text messages that were late breaking news alerts. I didn't no what to make of this and I didn't know who Jim Hickman was so I got a phone book to see if I could find his number. I finally found a 225 number for him in a 2003 phone book and it listed his address in Elk City on 7th Place off of 7th Street. I called the number listed to Jim but there was no answer so I went to the address listed in the 2003 phone book but no one was home. I called a friend and he told me that Jim worked at the hospital so I called to try to get in touch with him. I left several messages for him and even went to the hospital to see if I could find him because I was really curious about this.

After dozens of calls to Jim and leaving many messages I still have never talked to him or even heard his voice on a message after almost two years. I made at least a dozen trips to the hospital but it would seem as though I just missed him every time and I'm convinced he was intentionally avoiding me because of his involvement in this mess. I want to talk about conspiracy just for a second and I usually don't like to do that believe it or not. I have a little theory about why they used Jim's number when they were bypassing my Sim card which they have done for years. I think Jim is hooked in because the federal boys need his knowledge about x ray equipment because they use it in their games when their watching people. This is some pretty old technology and they can see right through your walls on your home and another device called an Eagle is used 2 listen from a distance. In my case I believe they were using this stuff in an attempt to try to wipe their feet because they felt as if I was finding out too much too fast.
There's quite a bit more left and I will try to get to the end soon.
